Edward H. Morgan

Edward Herner Morgan was a loving and caring husband, father grandfather, brother, friend and coworker. He passed away on August 23, 2023 at the age of 87 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He never complained and showed his courage in facing this challenge with a smile and sense of humor. He met his loving wife of 65 years, Priscilla Ann Stone at Kingsburg High School and they were married in 1957. Ed worked many jobs over his lifetime including driving truck at age 14 working at fruit stands. He worked at Thornbury-Allen Chevrolet for years. He worked at Nelson's furniture store and then opened up his own store, Morgan's Village Flooring on Draper Street that his daughter Tammy still runs. Thru all of this time he also farmed 20 acres of raisin grapes on his family property. But the job that exemplified his service oriented personality the most was Fire Chief for the City of Kingsburg. He started as a volunteer fireman and volunteer ambulance person and became volunteer chief and then the first Full Time Chief of the City. He also served in youth sports and activities for his two daughters and spent time on the Historical Park Board for many years. He had a love for camping and motorcycle riding that really was representative of the love for spending time with his family and good friends. He had a great sense of humor and entertained everyone with his quick wit and fun personality. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Morgan and mother Margaret, his brother Bruce and sister Helen Eckmann. He is survived by his loving wife Pat. His daughter Tammy Dooley and husband Bryan, Daughter Shelly Jensen and husband Don. Grandchildren Landon and his wife Alesha, Tanner and his wife Caitlin and Bryce Jensen and Fiance Tess and Great-Grandchildren Gwendolyn, Harrison and William. His Celebration of Life is Friday, September 8th at 9:00am at the Kingsburg Community Church. Graveside Service following the church service at the Kingsburg Cemetery.
