Ignacio Manzo Anaya

Ignacio Anaya,72, well known as Nash to family and friends, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, in Fresno, California; surrounded by his closest loved ones. Nash was born in Fresno, California to Magdaleno and Nellie Anaya on August 16, 1952. He was raised in Fresno, California, the oldest of seven children. After High School, Nash started his fire service career with US Forest Service and became one of the first Fresno City/County Firemen and Paramedic graduates from Valley Medical Center and was the top of his class. Nash worked for Cal-Cot LTD. as a foreman and an Assistant Superintendent upon his retirement after over 30 years. Over the years, he continued his love for the fire service and worked for several different agencies; Fresno City, Kings County Fire and Fresno County Fire Protection District/CAL Fire at the time of his retirement, after 42 years of faithful service, collectively. Nash exuded integrity and an undeniable work ethic in everything he did. Nash was very devout in his Catholic Faith and gave any and all praise to the Lord no matter the circumstance. He humbly served the Lord as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Teacher for the RCIA program at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Selma, Ca for many years. Nash was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Servant of Christ and friend. He had a presence about him that you would never forget if you met him and he made sure to share a piece of wisdom when he had the opportunity, he was a man of many hats. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Nash is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 25 years, Ofelia, his daughter Angela and grandchildren, Marissa, Kiyonna, Miyah, Victoria, Zachariyah and great-granddaughter, Azairia. He is also survived by his siblings, Roseanne and Abel Rodarte, Magdaleno Jr. and Connie Anaya, Nellie and Jesse Gonzales, Oscar and Ana Anaya, Evangelina and Robert Gonzales and numerous nieces and nephews. Nash is preceded in death by his father, Magdaleno Anaya Sr. and brother Javier Anaya. Viewing will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday, October 28th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel, 1588 Lincoln Street, Kingsburg wit the Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 2441 Dockery Avenue, Selma, immediately followed by burial at the Kingsburg Cemetery, 12782 E.
