Louise Helen Johnson

Louise Helen Johnson Born in Webster, Minnesota June 29, 1927 to Hannah and Martin Olson. She attended grades K-8 in a one room schoolhouse and graduated from Northfield High School in 1945. She attended Augsburg High School in Minneapolis for 2 years but had to leave to help her mother who was ill. She married Raynard Johnson on August 6, 1947. They had three daughters: Carolyn, Eileen and Sara. Louise was a loving, godly woman, wife, mother and friend to everyone who met and knew her. She was always interested in asking, "Are you married? How many children do you have?" etc., etc. Ray and Louise loved to travel and enjoy God's beautiful creation and especially enjoyed visiting Norway and the origins of their ancestors. They moved to California in 1983 to be near their daughters Eileen Olson and Sara Gifford and their families. Louise loved caring for her grandchildren whenever she could. They eventually moved into the little cottage on Eileen and Wayne's property. After Ray's passing in 2007, Louise spent time in Eileen and Sara's homes and eventually needed more care. At the time of her passing she was a resident at Sierra View Homes in Reedley. Louise went to be with her blessed Savior on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 9:59 a.m., just one day after her 96th birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Hannah Olson, her daughter Carolyn Nelson and husband Raynard Johnson. She is survived by her two daughters, Eileen (Wayne) Olson and Sara (Mike) Gifford, her grandchildren Jennifer (Wayne) Rowell, Jeff (Aimee) Nelson, Jessica (Lars) Knutson, JoyAnn (Carl) Tutt, Olof Olson, Signe (Josh) Bakker, Magnus (Carmen) Olson, Solveig Olson, Rochelle Rice, Hallie (Danny) Gardner, Ryan (Vanessa) Gifford and 18 great grandchildren. Louise loved her Lord Jesus with all her heart and shared her faith boldly with anyone she came in contact with. Now she is at peace and in His arms. May each of us be prayer warriors like Louse and carry on her legacy and sharing our faith in Jesus with others. Two of her favorite verses were: Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed I'm your God. I'll strengthen you, help you, uphold you with, my victorious right hand.
