Mary "Cathie" Arquette

Mary (Cathie) Arquette, 81, of Kingsburg, CA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 1, 2022, following a long illness. Cathie was born in Paragould, Arkansas, the second daughter of Alvie and Ruth Carpenter. At an early age the family moved to California finally settling in the Kingsburg area where she remained after graduating from Kingsburg High School. Cathie worked as a pallet tagger in the warehouse at Del Monte cannery in Kingsburg for 40 plus years, as an income tax preparer with H&R Block for almost 40 years and also served as a substitute rural mail carrier for the US Post Office. She will always be remembered and admired for her devotion to her family, her God and her friends. Blessed by God with an exceptionally compassionate and caring heart, Cathie always took into consideration the needs of the less fortunate. Cathie is survived by her husband Howard Arquette of Kingsburg, her sons Dino Aguilar of Kingsburg and Daniel Nelson of Clovis, her sister Betty Wells of Paragould, Arkansas, Dottie Palomar of Kingsburg, Linda Leal of Selma, and her brother Glenn Carpenter of Kingsburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Earl Carpenter of Kingsburg, and her sister Joan Bazzano of Selma. Thank go to the entire staff of Bristol Hospice for the medical care and support provided the past weeks. Special thanks also to caregivers Lina Heriman, Liz Leal and Kay Roberts for their professional care and outstanding assistance, compassion and emotional support for Cathie and the entire family. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 14th from 3PM to 6PM at Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel, 1588 Lincoln Street, Kingsburg, CA. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 15th, at 10AM, also at Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel, immediately followed with interment at the Kingsburg Cemetery, 12782 E.
