"Patsy Lavern Ward, the angel God called home. Born in Paragould, Arkansas to Murrell and Geneva Scott, and rests in Kingsburg, California with husband Troy Edward Ward. 12/26/1935 - 08/26/2024. The beautiful woman pictured here is our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Niece, and Friend. We could sit for hours and tell you all about her, but we'll keep it within the paragraph. She loved her kids, grandkids, greats, and great-greats (oh yeah, great-greats-greats) and most of all her husband, Troy, who she is now reunited with and will spend the rest of eternity together. Troy and Patsy shared 64 years of marriage and 7 children. She leaves behind her children; Rick Ward (Sharon Ward), Keith Ward, Teresa Johnson (Bruce Johnson), Polly Risenhoover (Gerald Risenhoover), Andy Ward (Virgie Ward), Christina Lopez (Mario Lopez), and Darnel Ward (Vicky Ward). She also leaves behind her brother, Troy "Buddy" Scott, and sister Lucille Carpenter. Patsy had many things she loved in life, but to list a few, she loved cooking, baking, driving truck all over the US with Troy back in the day, family gatherings, karaoke, traveling to her home state of Arkansas, fishing, dancing in the living room with Troy, Sunday worship and praise, and so much more. Patsy was a woman who wore many hats in her 88 (nearly 89) years of life. We are forever thankful to have been blessed with her and her earthly vessel, she meant so much to all that knew and loved her, and the memories made will always be cherished. Although we are sad and heartbroken you're no longer on Earth with us, we are also at peace knowing you are safely in the Lord's hands. Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord forever." Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 at Kingsburg Cemetery, 12782 E. Clarkson Avenue, Kingsburg.
