Stephen Dale Cabral

Stephen Dale Cabral was born on August 17, 1960, at the Kingsburg Sanatorium in Kingsburg, California. Stephen had a love of riding three wheelers in his younger years as well as a passion for driving truck which he did for Foster Farms and J.B. Hunt for 36 years. He passed peacefully into eternal rest after years of courageous fighting, surrounded by the love of family and those who cherished him deeply. Stephen was a man whose strength, perseverance, and deep love for his family defined his life. Through every challenge, he faced life with resilience and determination. Above all else, Stephen treasured his family, and his greatest joy was the love he shared with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Christopher Cabral, step brother Stephen Doody and his great-granddaughter, Sutton Stone. Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Cabral; his mother, Norma Sue Noel; his father, Melvin Cabral; his stepmother, Janet Cabral; and his stepfather, Ted Noel. He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Cabral, sister-in-law, Yvette Cabral, and stepsister Sherri Planas. He will be forever remembered by his children: Kaci Merlo and Troy Rose; Chrishelle and Darel Sample; Tim and Cheryl Stone; and Greg and Elizabeth Stone. Stephen's legacy lives on through his beloved grandchildren: Aria Merlo; Tatum Rose; Wyatt Rose; Mitchell Sample and Macy Meyers; Morgan and Triston Diener; Tyler and Gianna Stone; Mason and Aleena Stone; Abbie Johnson and Matthew Roberson; Hunter Stone and Catherine Reid; Bailee Stone; Riley Stone and Trevor Nelson; and Ava Stone and Zack Ribeiro. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and happiness: Daisy Diener, Cayden Diener, Levi Stone, and Hadley Stone. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds comfort in knowing he is finally at peace and free from pain. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." ~Matthew 11:28 Stephen will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held 5pm July 10, 2026 at Kingsburg Historical Park, 2321 Sierra St, Kingsburg, CA 93631.
