Victor David Hauck

Victor David Hauck David passed away at the age of 82 on December 19,2023, at the VA Medical Center in Fresno, CA. He was a loyal husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. David was born on May 20, 1941 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Victor and Evelyn Hauck. He was the oldest of three siblings. David was proud to serve in the United States Navy from October 11, 1960, to February 13, 1968. In 1960, he was commissioned to the USS Saint Paul Battleship, the first U.S. Navy ship to be homeported in the Far East and the first Flag Ship to make five successful deployments with the 7th Fleets of Operations off North and South Vietnam. His duties included being an electrician in the powerhouse. Upon his return in 1965 to San Diego, CA he continued his service on the USS Spinax Submarine. This took him to the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Japan. His duties continued as an electrician and in sonar and fire control service maintenance. In February 1968, he returned safely home to the states and was awarded the National Defenses Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. With his Honorable Discharge, he accepted a service-related civilian job on the Cayman Islands as an electrician. In 1974 he moved to Morro Bay, CA where he attended Cuesta College to further his knowledge as an electrician. Shortly after, he moved to Visalia, CA where he worked for several electric businesses. With his expertise, he started Hauck Electric. In 1983 while eating lunch at Clems Restaurant in Visalia, he met Dolores and their journey began. For 16 years, they both worked together side by side at their Hauck Electric business. They set up and provided many different software programs for many valley business clients and David even traveled as far as Japan, Hong Kong and Hawaii to connect, service and assist businesses there as well. David was predeceased by his parents, his sister Jane and his son Mark. David is survived by his wife Dolores, his sister Sue Ellen Riesau, nephew Arlen, daughters Clarissa, Melissa and her spouse Kay, Vanessa and her spouse Ashlie, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends who will miss him. May David rest in eternal peace. Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella.
