April 21, 1940 - May 1, 2021
Judith Ann Johnson Judith Johnson was born Judith Ann Grandal on April 21, 1940 to proud parents Peter and Judith Grandal in San Pedro, California. On arriving home from the hospital she was greeted by her older brother Melbourne. In 1941 her parents made the decision to move back to Kingsburg and in 1942 they bought the family farm in rural Parlier from Judith's Grandfather John Swanson. It was here that she spent an idyllic childhood. The family were actively involved in the Colony Covenant Church just down the road, much of their weekly life revolved around the congregation there. Judith attended Ross Grammer school until it closed and finished out her elementary education in Parlier. She attended Kingsburg High School, graduating in 1958. After graduation she attended North Park College in, Reedley College and Multnomah School of the Bible. Judith met her husband of 47 years, Gary M. Johnson at less than a month old when she and her mother on a trip from San Pedro, met Gary and his mother on the steps after church and the two were introduced and admired. It wasn't however until 1960 when both were attending Multnomah that something new clicked and the dating began. They were soon engaged and on June 24 1961 the two became man and wife. Over the next 18 years six children were added to their family. They were married 47 years when Gary left for Heaven the day after their anniversary. Judith was raised in a Godly household and at the age of four prayed asking Jesus into her heart and life as Savior and Lord. This decision permeated the rest of her life and was an example of Godliness and a love of the Bible to her children , grandchildren and friends and neighbors. Judith began her walk in eternity at the age of four and on May 1st, 2021 she entered into that eternity meeting Jesus and joining loved ones already there in praising her ever faithful Almighty God. Judith is survived by six children, Greg Jonsson, Colleen Smith(Devon), Brad (Kristy), Kristen Young (Matt), Sarah Stahl (Steven), Elisabeth Movesesian (Joe), 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held privately. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel. Memorial Tributes and condolences may be offered by logging onto www.salseranddillard.com.
