Leland Robert Pendola

Leland Pendola passed away on Thursday January 13th, 2022 at the age of 94, in Hanford California. He was born to Robert and Marie Pendola on February 18 1927, in Visalia Ca. After completing his freshman year at Kingsburg High School he was needed to help support his family. In 1945 he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Oak Ridge Tennessee. He would share his experience and job duties of being a military police officer. He spoke many times of wishing he'd made it a career. After fulfilling his two year commitment, Leland returned back to Traver Ca. That is where he met his bride to be. Then on January 13th 1951 Leland married Ruby Watkins of Traver. He went to be with the Lord on their 71st wedding anniversary. He began his employment with the Kingsburg Cotton Oil Company in 1950 and retired after 41 years of dedicated service as a warehouseman. He was proud of his work ethics, said he could count on his fingers the days he missed work for all those years. He loved camping in the mountains, maintaining his home that he built in the 1950s, and growing a beautiful garden. Most of the harvest would be given to his friends and neighbors. Preceding his death, Son , David Pendola of Visalia Ca. Mother, Marie Pendola of Traver Ca. Sister, Venita Erickson of San Leandro Ca. Sister, Vercie Todd of Oil Dale Ca. Brother, Gordon Pendola of Kingsburg Ca. Also, Leland leaves behind Daughter, Linda Sharp of Wilton Ca. 2 Sons, Ed Pendola of Selma Ca, John Pendola of Traver Ca, 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great, Great Grandchildren. He is loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
