Ronald Glenn Barnes

April 24, 1942 - April 8, 2022

On April 8, 2022, Ronald Glenn Barnes, age 79, passed away peacefully at the Adventist Health Hospital in Hanford, CA, surrounded by his family. Born on April 24, 1942 in Reedley, CA to Charles "Bud" Barnes and Lela (Beck) Barnes. Ron graduated from Dinuba High School in 1960 and married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Silva, on August 19, 1961. The couple had three children. Ron was a hard-working man, spending most of his career working as a maintenance mechanic and maintenance supervisor. While still working full-time, Ron operated his welding business, R&E Welding, out of the shop at his home in Selma for about 15 years. In 2006, Ron retired from his career at the Del Monte Foods cannery in Kingsburg, CA. When Ron had free time, you would likely find him at the golf course, in Pismo with his wife Elaine, or spending time with his two grandchildren. Ron will always be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved to laugh and tell stories. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine; his brother Robert; sister Cheryl Kitchens; son Keith (Lisa); daughter Lori; grandchildren Linsey and Ryan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ron was preceded by both of his parents and his daughter, Tiffany. Gravesidel services will be held at the Kingsburg Cemetery on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 11 am.
