Albeza "Bessie" Garza

Albeza "Bessie" Garza age 90 of Kingsburg went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2023, in Ventura Ca. Albeza was born November 23, 1932, in Garza Gonzalez (Near Monterrey), Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Albeza was united in holy matrimony to David Garza Sr from San Benito, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. David preceded her on May 7, 2023. They are both now rejoicing with the Lord and their daughter Bessie. Albeza was a loving and kindhearted woman with a very giving and nurturing nature and was loved by many. Her caring heart will forever remain with those who knew her. Her life will be cherished by all of those who the Lord placed in her path. Albeza was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years David Garza Sr, her daughter Bessie Garza de Ruiz, her parents Emilio and Maria Alvarado, and three sisters Rogelia Alvarado De Gonzalez, Adelina Garza and Beatris Alvarado De Escamilla, three brothers Gabriel Alvarado, Onesimo Alvarado, and Ramiro Alvarado. Albeza professed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and was a dedicated member of the Assembly of God church. Albeza volunteered in church activities when there was a need and through her loving caring nature influenced everyone that was helped by her. Albeza enjoyed any activity that involved the church and praising the Lord. When it came to church activities such as weekend gatherings, special meetings, and especially group picnics, she was the one that everyone gathered around. Her baked goods left everyone wanting more. Albeza and David at one point made over 50 dozen tamales just to bless loved ones and close friends. Her contributions to those that knew her will forever be admired and serve as an example of putting others first and loving like Christ would. Albeza was also a very devout Dodgers fan. She enjoyed watching the Dodgers play and she actually would talk to the players through the TV when they were not winning. Win or lose, she always rooted for her team along with a few tips on how to play better. Albeza in the early years accompanied her husband, whom was a Brasero sent to Minnesota in 1955. This was when they first came to the US. They then began to migrate to and within several western states within the US, and eventually settled in Kingsburg in 1973 where she supported her husband, family, and eventually the Sun Maid family as a raisin grower. Albeza made many friends from the city, Sun Maid community, and loved spending time with her neighbors and friends which will miss her greatly. Albeza will forever be remembered and greatly missed by her surviving family: Sister Anastasia Alvarado De Rodriguez, Brothers Benjamin Alvarado and Emilio Alvarado II. Children: David Garza II of Oxnard Ca., Jorge Garza of Visalia Ca., Osiel Garza of Houston Tx, Ken Garza of Visalia Ca., and Oscar Garza of Ventura Ca. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law: Blanca Garza, Maribel Garza, Virginia Garza, and Gloria Garza. There are eleven grandchildren: Blanca Jacobs, David Garza III, Edith Garza, Adrian Garza, Eric Garza, Irene Rodriguez, Alonso Ruiz II, Heather Ecklund, Anais Garza, James Garza, and Luci Garza, and eight great grandchildren: Belisa Garza, Ariana Garza, Oscar Rodriguez II, Donavan Rodriguez, Mia Rodriguez, Mia Garza, Max Garza, and Isabella Ecklund. Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday, September 29th, 2023, at Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel, 1588 Lincoln Street, Kingsburg followed by the Funeral service at 11:00 AM and then burial at the Kingsburg Cemetery.
