Michael Ray Molina

Michael Ray Molina passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 43 after a hard battle with COVID. Michael (Mikey) was born on March 21, 1978 in Fresno, California. He was the youngest son of Robert & Nellie Molina and younger brother to Robert (Bobby) Molina. As a child, he was always kind hearted and loved spending time with his circle of cousins. He had a natural ability and passion for playing the drums and loved going to band reviews. Always with a big smile and boisterous laugh, you could count on him to be your biggest supporter. Mikey loved the country life just as much as living in the city, but the coastal sands of Pismo will always be his favorite place. In 2005, he married his wife, Kristen Cates, and together, they created three amazing sons, Ty, Daniel and Noah. Mikey's greatest achievement and grandest joy was being a father. He was always present and involved in anything to do with his sons and was proud of them every day. They will forever be his legacy. Mikey was a lifelong resident of Kingsburg, California. He was involved in his community as a coach for the Kingsburg Youth Baseball Association (KYBA). Mikey believed in the comrade associated with team sports, teaching the fundamentals of the game, good sportsmanship and having fun. If not coaching, he was a team dad and/or supporter of various sports and you could always find him in the stands wearing the team colors or his favorite green and gold. Mikey is survived by his wife Kristen Molina, his three sons, Ty, Daniel and Noah as well as his parents Robert & Nellie, brother Robert (Bobby) and godson, Donovan Diaz. Additionally, Mikey was the proud uncle to Vanessa, Mia and Aleena. The nephew to several Tia's and Tio's along with cousin and friend to many more. Mikey was loved by all those who knew him and the world lost him too quickly. Please join his family in celebrating his life and legacy. All services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in Kingsburg, California. The viewing will take place at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel (Kingsburg, CA) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with the Rosary at the same location, starting at 10:00 am. The funeral service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church starting at 1:00 pm with the burial to follow immediately at Kingsburg Cemetery. A luncheon will follow to reminisce and celebrate his life at Smokehouse Bar & Grill. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel.
