Nicholas R. Merlo

Nicholas Richard Merlo, lovingly known as Nick, passed away on June 22, 2026 at 2:39PM surrounded by the love of his family. Though his time with us ended too soon, the impact he made on those who knew him will live on forever. Nick was a devoted husband, proud father, cherished brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Kaci Merlo, and his beloved daughters, Nicole Saselli (Houston), Aria Merlo, and step daughter Samantha Walls (Casey). His love for his girls was immeasurable, and he took great pride in each one of them. He is also survived by his parents Richard and Tina Merlo. His siblings, Matt Merlo (Michelle), Ben Merlo (Ashleigh), Amber Dias (Ryan). Nick was the grandfather of Winnie, Shia, and Bowie Walls, and a proud uncle to Cole Dias (Jenna), Chase Dias, Lilly Winslow (Ethan), Macey Merlo (Vlad Princu), Hannah Merlo, Krystin Merlo, and Jax Merlo. Later he became a great uncle to Rocky Dias, and Roman Winslow. Anyone who knew Nick, knew his greatest gift was his sense of humor. He could light up any room with a smile, a joke, or a perfectly timed comment. His larger-than-life laugh was contagious, and his ability to make others feel comfortable and welcome was unmatched. Whether spending time with family, celebrating life's milestones, or simply enjoying everyday moments, Nick brought warmth, love, and laughter wherever he went. Above all else, Nick loved his family beyond measure. He was fiercely loyal, deeply caring, and always willing to put the people he loved first. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind. His laughter will echo in our hearts, his love will guide us forward, and his legacy will live on through the family and friends who loved him so dearly. Forever loved. Forever missed.
